About PRISM55
PRISM55 is a fractional marketing agency for brands that expect better. We work with ambitious businesses who want marketing to drive real outcomes, not activity. The question we ask is never what marketing you need, it is what your business needs marketing to achieve. We work as one team. Strategists, designers, developers, and marketers working together, taking ownership of results and doing the work properly. We do not hide behind process, titles, or long documents that explain why nothing happened. We are growing, and we are building a team of people who care about momentum, standards, and getting things done. We're working remotely from the UK with bases in Guildford and Exeter. We encourage regular meet ups and being comfortable with travelling is essential!
Why we're hiring this role
As PRISM55 grows, the work gets bigger, faster, and more complex. To keep things moving well, we need someone senior who can sit close to management, help turn direction into action, and make sure good ideas actually become finished work. The Head of Performance exists to help turn the real business problems we are solving, for PRISM55 and for our clients, into clear briefs the team can actually get stuck into. It is a role with real influence and plenty of room to grow. You will be close to the decisions that matter, helping shape how work starts, how it moves, and how it lands. Sometimes that means making a call, sometimes it means rolling your sleeves up and helping get something over the line. Working closely with the Head of Operations, you help turn direction into momentum and play a key part in how the agency grows from here. This role is about progress, not perfection. We are far more interested in things moving forward properly than being beautifully planned and slightly late.
What you will be responsible for
- You will work closely with us to understand priorities, direction, and what actually matters right now.
- You will help turn ideas, conversations, and decisions into clear next steps, then make sure they happen.
- You will step into delivery when needed to unblock work, support the team, or keep momentum going.
- You will make judgement calls when things are unclear and take responsibility for them. If it turns out not to be the perfect call, you adjust and move on.
- You will challenge vague briefs, poor thinking, or work that is quietly drifting off course.
- You will help keep work moving across the agency so it does not stall, bounce around, or end up back where we started.
- You will work closely with the Head of Operations to keep delivery practical, aligned, and focused on outcomes rather than noise.
- You will take ownership of day to day decisions so senior leadership can focus on growth, direction, and the bigger picture.
What success looks like
- Work moves forward without constant escalation.
- Decisions get made and acted on, even when everything is not perfectly defined.
- The team feels clearer, supported, and able to move faster.
- Management has more space to think, create, and focus on growing the business.
- The agency feels calm and well run, even when things are busy.
Who this role is for
This role is for someone who is comfortable when things are not fully defined. You are curious, switched on, and you notice when work is drifting, unclear, or stuck. You do not wait for perfect briefs or complete information. You ask the right questions, make a call, and move things forward. You are confident making decisions with partial information and you take responsibility for the outcome. If something is not working, you change course rather than defend it. You are practical and grounded. You understand how work actually gets delivered in an agency and you are happy to roll your sleeves up when needed. No task is beneath you if it helps the team or the work move forward. You are calm under pressure and steady when things get busy. People trust you because you are clear, fair, and consistent, not because of your job title. You care about standards, but you value progress over polish. You would rather get something live and improving than perfect and late. You enjoy being close to the work, close to the team, and close to the decisions that matter.
What this role is not
This is not a hands off leadership role. This is not admin, coordination, project management or operational. This is not about enforcing process for the sake of it. You are expected to think, decide, and get involved.
A final note from us
This is a pivotal hire for PRISM55. The person who lands this role will play a real part in shaping how the agency grows, how we work, and how we show up for our clients. You will be close to the decisions that matter and trusted to help move the business forward. The work will be varied, interesting, and at times gloriously chaotic. Some days you will be making big calls, other days you will be helping untangle something that should have been simple but wasn't. That is part of the job, and part of the appeal. If you enjoy being close to the action, care about doing things properly, and want a role where you can genuinely make a difference, you will feel very at home at PRISM55.
