We have part time and flexible roles available for compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You must have a nurturing attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The role requires travel between clients' homes around Goole, Beverly and the surrounding areas, so you must have your own transport.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
  • Support clients in maintaining their independence while respecting their privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to care plans.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but not mandatory as training is provided.
