Priory Bishops Gate is looking to recruit a Support Worker for waking nights to join the team. This is a Full time role.

£12.60 per hour (£24,570 per year)

40 hours per week with various shifts covering nights & weekends on a rotational basis.

Priory Bishops Gate is a residential service located in St. Leonards-on-Sea. We provide support to males and females aged 18‑65 who are on the autistic spectrum, have learning difficulties, and receive trauma‑informed care. We aim to help residents create and achieve personal goals for a fulfilling life.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a similar role, but we value individuals who display the right values and behaviours. You should be keen to learn and show compassion in caring for the people we support.

What you’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team committed to our residents\’ wellbeing. As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertake routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated, and facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.

  • Support with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, eating and personal hygiene
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed linens
  • Waking nights
  • Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well‑being and quickly report any changes to senior staff
  • Encourage participation in social and recreational activities
  • Promote independence
