Martins is located in Ramsgate, in Kent. It offers residential support for two people who have a learning disability or are autistic. This includes individuals who present with mild, moderate or severe behaviours that challenge. We are in a semi-rural area, off a main road, just by the coast.
Our team are dedicated to encouraging the people we care for to be independent by developing life skills both in house and in the community. We want to support our residents in their daily routines to ensure that they are living their life in a way that makes them feel happy, fulfilled and independent.
Due to the requirements of our residents, we can only consider male candidates for this role.
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
- Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
- Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose.
- Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
- Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.
- Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress.
- Promote choice, independence, and involvement at all times.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions.
What you'll bring to the role

- Experience in care or support work (desirable, but not essential – training provided).
