Cleveland House has an opportunity for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Cleveland House is located in Banks, Southport, in the west of Lancashire. It offers residential support for 32 males and females with an acquired brain injury (ABI), progressive neurological condition (PNC) and associated physical health needs.
We can also support those who have conditions such as:
- Epilepsy
- Difficulties with communication
- Difficulties with swallowing
- May need respiratory support through a ventilator and/or tracheostomy
What you'll be doing:
- Be part of a compassionate team committed to residents' wellbeing.
- Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
- Undertake routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
- Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care.
- Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.
- Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
- Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
- Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
- Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.
- Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
- Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.

- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Senior Healthcare Assistant is essential.
