Kneesworth Hospital is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team. This is a 12-month fixed-term role. Priory Hospital Kneesworth House, Royston, Hertfordshire is a level 2 rehabilitation service providing a range of specialist recovery pathways for adults within a purpose-built facility. It is accessible by public transport, with Royston railway station approximately 2–3 miles from the service and limited local bus links.
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
- Develop and deliver personalised occupational therapy treatment plans to support patient recovery and wellbeing.
- Assess patient needs, deliver individual and group therapy, and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Support, supervise and mentor junior members of the occupational therapy team.
- Promote occupational therapy services and contribute to the development of the local service.
- Build strong relationships with patients, families and carers, ensuring effective communication throughout rehabilitation.
Candidates must be HCPC registered and hold a Diploma in Occupational Therapy or a relevant degree (including honours degree, postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, or Master’s pre-registration qualification in Occupational Therapy). Experience working in a mental health inpatient service is beneficial.
