- Prior experience in outpatient mental health services
- Comfortable working with both Young People and Adults (preferred)
Our Grade II listed hospital building is set in extensive grounds, just off the M32 and less than three miles from the centre of Bristol, with free on-site parking. We offer 86 beds spread over eight wards, providing a wide range of services, including Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU), eating disorders, acute care, rehab, and recovery. Our collaborative environment fosters opportunities to gain experience in various services.
Key responsibilities:
- To provide specialist psychological and/or mental health input for both our Private Outpatient Treatment Services and the hospital Private Inpatient ward.
- To provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and therapy.
- To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of one's psychological practice.
- To administer Psychometric tests and other evidence-based assessments as clinically indicated.
As a mental health therapist at our two esteemed locations, your role will be focused in our Private Outpatient Treatment Service, and you'll work with dedicated therapy teams known for delivering the highest quality care in both 1:1 and group settings. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and Psychotherapists. Your typical day will involve a diverse mix of individual sessions, assessments, clinical support to the team, and group work.
Training and Development:
We provide comprehensive training on our systems and policies to ensure your success. Additionally, we offer individual specialist CPD opportunities and are willing to fund ADOS and ADI-R training.
All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland. We are an equal opportunities employer. Priory will cover the cost of a DBS check.
