Daffodil House are looking for Support Workers to work either Nights or Days at our service. Priory Daffodil House is a residential service in Pontypridd, South Wales. We provide support to males and females between the ages of 18 and 65, who are on the autistic spectrum and may also be presenting with complex needs. We aim to help residents create and achieve goals, in order to lead a fulfilled and enriched life.
Responsibilities
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
Qualifications
Essential for the role:
- A caring and respectful approach to supporting others.
- Ability to work flexibly and think innovatively.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to upholding professional standards, policies, and procedures.
- Experience in care or support work (desirable, but not essential β training provided).
The following experience would be beneficial:
- Fluent in Welsh.
