About the Role

Priory Horizon House has an opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join our team. This full‑time role (37.5 hours per week) offers a salary of £27,195 annually.

Horizon House is a residential addiction treatment service in Nottingham, accessible by public transport and approximately 2 miles from the city centre. It is a new location opening as part of our existing service, providing bespoke treatment for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and support the delivery of person‑centred support and care, ensuring that clients’ personal needs and requirements are met, including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks.
  • Ensure all client documentation is updated as per policy and evolving needs, maintaining high standards of record keeping and embedding the key worker process in practice.
  • Take key working responsibility for individual clients, supporting them to plan goals and personal outcomes, and ensuring these are documented and reviewed.
  • Complete external and internal reporting as per deadlines and report any exceptions to the site management team.

What you'll bring to the role

Candidates should have prior experience working in a healthcare, social care, or addiction support setting, ideally with individuals facing substance misuse challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work empathetically and maintain professional boundaries. Candidates must be reliable, able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and have a genuine commitment to supporting clients through their recovery journey.

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Willingness to work towards a Diploma/NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and/or leadership experience.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care or addiction support (preferred but not mandatory).

Desirable

  • Diploma/S/NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of clients.
