Priory Lombard House is looking to recruit a Registered Staff Nurse to join the team on our Rehabilitation and recovery ward. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours. Candidates must hold a full driving license.

Located in Norfolk near the market town of Attleborough, Priory Lombard House is a specialist level 2 rehabilitation service for males with a learning disability. Care also extends to dual diagnosis of autism, personality disorder and mental health conditions, with or without a history of offending behaviour.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing.
  • Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
  • Undertake routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes.
  • Act as the patient's named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
  • Evaluate and respond to changes in patient’s condition and needs.
  • Deal proactively and effectively with suggestions and complaints from patients and their families/carers.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6–12 months of post-registration experience.
  • Active NMC registration and completion of a preceptorship programme.
  • Strong understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional practices.
  • Evidence of ongoing post-registration continuous professional development.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
  • Ability to adopt flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A minimum of six months’ post-registration experience within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment.
