Priory Hospital Arnold is looking to recruit a Mental Health Nurse to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week. The hospital is an inpatient acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) for males and females struggling with a wide range of mental health conditions.

What you'll be doing:

  • You will be part of a compassionate team committed to patient wellbeing.
  • You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans and undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care that takes account of patient choice and wishes and act as the patient's named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess their needs and evaluate their progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6‑12 months post‑registration experience, active NMC Registration and a completed preceptorship programme.
  • Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests and professional practices.
  • Evidence of post‑registration continuing professional development.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality.
  • Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
