Priory is recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our brand-new nurse-led residential service supporting individuals with complex mental health needs. This is a part‐time 15‐hour role that focuses on providing expert clinical leadership and personalised care to residents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including detailed histories, mental state examinations, and risk assessments.
- Provide expert clinical leadership and supervision to multidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, utilising pharmacological, psychological, and other therapeutic interventions, with careful monitoring of medication efficacy and side effects.
- Liaise with primary care providers, social services, legal agencies, and community organisations to ensure integrated and coordinated care pathways.
- Drive service development and quality improvement initiatives through participation in clinical audits, research projects, and staff training.
What You'll Bring
- You will have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent in Psychiatry, be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise in the UK, and possess substantial experience managing complex mental health conditions in NHS or equivalent settings.
- Knowledge of NHS standards, NICE guidance, and the Mental Health Act is essential, as are proven skills in psychopharmacology, risk assessment, and evidence‐based treatment approaches.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement abilities are required, along with experience contributing to clinical audits, service development, and training.
