Priory Hospital Southampton is looking to recruit a Mental Health Nurse to join the team. This is a full‑time 37.5 hours per week role.
Location: Priory Hospital Southampton
Compensation: £36,176 per year
What you’ll be doing:
- You will be part of a compassionate team committed to our patients’ wellbeing, assisting qualified staff with assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans and routine tasks.
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
- Assess, plan and deliver nursing care with patients and carers, acting as the patient’s named nurse.
- Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess needs and evaluate progress.
- Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC registration.
- 6 to 12 months post‑registration experience and completion of a preceptorship programme.
- Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requirements and professional practices.
- Evidence of post‑registration continuing professional development.
- Positive attitude, commitment to improvement, quality and flexible innovative approaches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum 6 months’ post‑registration experience in a mental health or learning disabilities care environment.
