Conquest Lodge is looking to recruit a Bank Support Worker to join the team. Conquest Lodge is split across four individual bungalows, which all offer plenty of space and a relaxed, homely environment. One of these bungalows has a slightly different profile of residents, providing specialist support for four people with complex mental health needs. The building has its own separate entrance. Across these four properties there are a total of 19 bedrooms, all of which are on the ground floor, making our home ideally placed to support individuals with physical disabilities. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our resident wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As Bank Support Worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards. To undertake key working responsibility for individual service users, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed.

The role holder should present the service in a positive light and should be proactive in making suggestions for how to improve the service.
What you'll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same. Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or a related field, or an equivalent or higher recognised qualification, along with GCSEs or NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths. While it is not expected that all new recruits will already possess the NVQ Level 2 qualification, they will be required to begin working towards it within six months of joining and complete it within a specified timeframe. Previous experience in a related environment is considered desirable.
