Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit a registered mental health nurse to join the team in our psychiatric intensive care unit, bespoke therapeutic placement unit and dialectical behaviour therapy unit. This is a full-time 37.5 hour role. Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients’ wellbeing.

  • As a registered mental health nurse, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
  • Providing and supporting nursing care within the ward environment, including acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients.
  • Assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care in collaboration with patients and their families/carers, ensuring it reflects individual needs and preferences.
  • Accurately observing, communicating with, and engaging service users to assess their needs and evaluate their progress.
  • Promoting and adhering to the DBT model (for DBT unit roles).
  • Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes.
