Priory Beacon House is a Residential Addiction service in Melton. We are looking for a Residential Addiction Service Manager to join the team on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours. It is home to Flourish – our pioneering therapy-led addiction programme – offering bespoke treatment for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment. Set within a supportive community, Beacon House provides a safe haven away from the stresses of daily life and is part of our wider network of residential addiction treatment homes across the UK. Delivered by qualified therapists in a non-medical setting, Flourish offers an alternative to traditional hospital-based treatment. It’s ideal for people who don’t need a medical detox or ongoing medical care but would benefit from structured therapy, community connection, and practical tools to achieve meaningful, sustainable recovery.

This role will be responsible for overseeing and directing the operations of a therapy-led residential treatment service, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for individuals struggling with addiction and, in some cases, neuro-diversity, while also managing colleagues and client care. This role will be important in ensuring that all colleagues are focused on providing positive outcomes for the people we support, in line with regulatory standards and company key performance indicators, policies, and procedures. Managing and running the service as a financially profitable and viable business that has a future for the people we support, Priory, and external stakeholders feel confident in. Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

  • Strong knowledge of substance misuse, detoxification processes, relapse prevention, and recovery models
  • Sound understanding of trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, CBT, and harm-reduction approaches
  • Experience managing complex risk, including safeguarding, self-harm, and mental health comorbidities
  • Professional registration with relevant body (e.g. NMC, HCPC, Social Work England) desirable

Leadership & Management

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary teams in a residential setting
  • Experience with staff supervision, appraisal, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Confident decision-maker with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in managing rota planning, sickness absence, and staffing levels to maintain safe care

  • In-depth knowledge of CQC standards, inspections, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, audit, and continuous quality improvement
  • Experience ensuring policies, procedures, and care pathways meet best practice and legislative requirements
  • Ability to manage incidents, investigations, and learning outcomes effectively

Operational & Service Delivery

  • Experience overseeing day-to-day operations of a residential service, ensuring high standards of care
  • Ability to manage admissions, discharges, and treatment pathways effectively
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills, with attention to accuracy and confidentiality
  • Confident working with budgets, resources, and service targets

  • Excellent communication skills with service users, families, staff, and external professionals
  • Compassionate, non-judgemental approach aligned with recovery-focused care
  • Ability to build strong therapeutic and professional relationships
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and managing challenging conversations

Personal Qualities
