Department: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers

Location: Riddrie House

Compensation: £13.45 / hour

Riddrie House is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join the team. This is a full‑time, 38.5‑hour role. Riddrie House is a 32-bed rehabilitation service for adults with enduring mental health needs. We offer a unique service that is challenging and rewarding to work in, providing the opportunity to support service users to live their best lives.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will be part of a compassionate team committed to residents’ wellbeing.
  • You will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertake routine tasks and activities to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
  • Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
  • Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
  • Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in a way they choose.
  • Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts and daily notes.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Uphold safety, security and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.
  • Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress.
  • Promote choice, independence and involvement at all times.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions.
