Priory Hospital Glasgow is a specialist inpatient treatment centre providing support for mental health conditions and addictions, including depression treatment, alcohol and drug rehabilitation, and private autism assessments for adults. It is accessible by public transport, with local train stations nearby and easy access from Glasgow city centre, as well as motorway links.
The successful candidate will support and assist our multi-disciplinary teams in the assessment, planning and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the well-being, dignity and treatment of all patients. The role will be based within the Eating Disorders Ward with flexibility to work across wards as required.
The successful candidate will be able to work within a team or on their own initiative; will be hard working and reliable and will demonstrate enthusiasm and an ability to adapt to challenging situations. In addition, the successful applicant will have effective communication skills, be caring in nature and possess a willingness to learn.

What you’ll be doing:
- You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing.
- You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

- Provides practical support and responsive care to patients who require assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing and toileting activities ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation.
- Observes and monitors the wellbeing of patients ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.
- Provide specific interventions with patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse, and following training and competency attainment.
- Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
