Bristol Hospital (Stapleton, M32):
Our Grade II listed hospital building is set in extensive grounds, just off the M32 and less than three miles from the centre of Bristol, with free on-site parking. We offer 77 beds over seven wards, providing a wide range of services, including Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU), eating disorders, acute care, rehab and recovery. Our collaborative environment fosters opportunities to gain experience in various services.
Job Advert Role Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified therapist to work within our Private inpatient and outpatient therapy service. We are a dynamic Multi-Disciplinary Team who work with a wide variety of presentations to offer a range therapeutic interventions to support treatment and recovery.
Responsibilities of the role include the facilitation of specialist psycho-educational and relapse prevention therapy groups, individual inpatient and outpatient sessions, and the completion of assessments and treatment plans for a range of patients. Face to face sessions on site is a requirement for this role.
Registration and experience:
  • Registered with BABCP / BACP / UKCP. Accreditation is preferred, however those working towards accreditation may also be considered.
  • Ideally holding a minimum of 3 years\' experience working in an out-patient service, you would be able to demonstrate good relationship building both with clients and referrers, and be passionate in the therapy you offer.
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team in acute mental health services is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have training in one of the following modalities:
  • EMDR
  • CBT
  • DBT
  • REBT
