Priory Wellbeing Centre Birmingham is looking to recruit an EMDR Therapist to join the team. Hours for this sessional role are flexible and will be scheduled according to the centre’s requirements. Compensation: £60.00 / hour
Responsibilities
- Be working in the outpatient team to provide EMDR assessment, formulation and treatment to clients.
- Work closely with other relevant professionals as appropriate.
- Communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner information concerns the assessment, formulation and treatment plans to clients.
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management of patients.

To work with Priory as a sessional therapist or psychologist, we ask that you ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience, and can demonstrate a good level of clinical experience in your chosen field. You are able to offer strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and able to adhere to good organisational clinical governance; which will include the use of digital platforms, concise clinical notes and attending risk management meetings as required.
Accreditation with an approved professional body is required, which includes HCPC, UKCP, BABCP, BACP, NCPS, BPC, ACAT, and ACP (relevant to the type of modality you wish to offer). We can consider “working towards accreditation” in certain circumstances, and can discuss this on a case-by-case basis.
