Department: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers

Location: The Old Vicarage Dewsbury

Compensation: £13.95 / hour

Priory Old Vicarage offers residential support for seven adult males and females with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, mental health needs, autistic spectrum, complex needs, communication difficulties and mild to moderate challenging behaviours or epilepsy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as a positive role model, supervise and guide support staff, deliver high‑quality person‑centred care, supervise operations, coach colleagues, lead team meetings, support residents to live independent lives.
  • Supervise and support delivery of person‑centred support and care.
  • Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation and effective communication.
  • Ensure residents have person‑centred plans and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
  • Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
  • Administer medication safely in line with procedures.
  • Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management.
  • Maintain accurate record‑keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
  • Monitor and support team performance, addressing operational issues as needed.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date training and knowledge for safe practice.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise, coach and motivate others.
