Priory Hospital Dewsbury is looking to recruit a Deputy Ward Manager to join the team on the Jubilee Ward. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. Based in the residential area of Earlsheaton, West Yorkshire, Priory Hospital Dewsbury provides level 2 rehabilitation services divided into two wards. Care is for male patients who have mental health disorders and we also offer neuropsychiatry support, support for older people and dementia, community-focused rehabilitation, and support for severe and enduring mental health.

Although Dewsbury is not a 24/7 acute hospital, we are well-placed to provide support to acute patients within our dementia services, for those who require an alternative setting to an acute psychiatric ward. At Priory Hospital Dewsbury, you'll join a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding patient care and supporting individuals on their recovery journey.

As Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the effective leadership and day-to-day management of the ward. Working alongside the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team, you will help drive high standards of clinical care, promote a positive patient experience, and support the development of a motivated and skilled workforce. Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

  • Active Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council, meeting the requirements of Revalidation (RMN qualified)
  • Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development and intent to maintain and develop Continued professional development and leadership
  • Good computer skills
