Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week. Priory Hospital Preston is looking to recruit a Deputy Ward Manager to join the team on our acute ward. The role is based in Bartle, near Preston, in a 50‑bedded mental health hospital that offers a range of services across four wards and supports adults with acute mental health needs and eating disorders.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a compassionate team committed to patient wellbeing. Your duties will include:

• Assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
• Undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of patients.

Qualifications

• First level Registered Nurse (RMN)
• Clinical supervision experience is essential; training is desirable.
• Evidence of CPD and commitment to maintain and develop CPD and leadership skills.
• Good computer skills and experience in Acute Mental Health.
• At least three years post‑registration experience (or equivalent).
• Mentorship experience desirable.
