Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist to join the team. This is a full-time/37.5 Hour role. Our comprehensive treatment programmes are delivered by our specialist multidisciplinary team, who work together to create a strong support network for our patients. You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

  • Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments to identify patient needs and develop appropriate intervention plans, delivered on either an individual or group basis.
  • Manage and coordinate individual Occupational Therapy treatment plans, facilitate therapeutic groups, and oversee unit programmes.
  • Prepare Occupational Therapy reports and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants, where appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues, ensuring clinical practice aligns with Priory policies, procedures, statutory regulations, and quality standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and carers to support high-quality care delivery.

Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. The successful candidate will hold a recognised degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and maintain current registration with the HCPC. Previous experience working within eating disorder services or mental health settings is highly desirable. A compassionate, recovery-focused approach is essential, together with a genuine commitment to supporting individuals in rebuilding confidence, identity, and independence in their everyday lives.
