Priory Hospital Bristol is looking to recruit a Receptionist to join the team. To cover some weekends and annual leave between both sites, Bristol Hospital and Bristol Park Clinic.

Compensation: £12.71 / hour

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day‑to‑day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Greets and assists all arrivals promptly at the Priory unit, and ensures that they are treated in a courteous, pleasant and efficient manner, and directed accordingly.
  • Ensures that all telephone calls into main reception / switchboard are dealt with promptly and efficiently within Priory operational standards.
  • Carries out administrative tasks as required.
  • Ensures that the appropriate security passes are issued, as well as then directing the visitor to the appropriate areas or individuals within the unit.
  • Ensures the maintenance of the reception and waiting area environments to high standards, ensuring that any housekeeping or maintenance issues are reported to the appropriate teams.

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 1 in a relevant area or GCSEs/equivalent qualifications and will have experience working within a customer‑facing environment. Due to the nature of the role, the post holder may encounter difficult and challenging situations when supporting patients, which can increase the sensory and emotional demands of the position.
