The role holder will require GCSE / O‑Levels (A‑C)/NAT 5’s (1‑3) / Standard Grades or a relevant NVQ2 or equivalent experience.

Based in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland, Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic is a low secure service for males and females with a mental health diagnosis and/or a personality disorder. We can support people from all over the UK. Lochlea House and Gatehouse are two step‑down services located in Ayrshire which are part of Ayr Clinic also. Due to location, access to a car is required.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will support the Occupational Therapist in planning, delivering, and evaluating therapy and care plans that promote patients’ mental, emotional, physical, and social well‑being. You will work closely with the Occupational Therapist and the wider multidisciplinary team, help identify patients’ occupational needs, and support them in achieving their recovery goals. You will encourage and motivate patients to participate in self‑care, productive, and recreational activities, helping them to develop independence, build confidence, and engage in meaningful occupations that enhance their overall quality of life.

  • Essential: GCSE / O‑Levels (A‑C)/NAT 5’s (1‑3) / Standard Grades or a relevant NVQ2 or equivalent experience
  • Desirable: Knowledge of or experience working in Occupational Therapy
