We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Priory Vets on a full‑time, 12 month contract basis. Priory Vets is a long‑established mixed practice with 88 years of trusted service to the local community. Our small animal teams are based across Cardigan, Preseli and Aberaeron, while our large animal and equine vets work out on the road. The main site is in Cardigan, a vibrant coastal town offering an excellent quality of life, beautiful beaches, and strong transport links to Swansea and Cardiff.

You’ll join a friendly, collaborative team of 9 vets, 8 RVNs, a VCA, and 8 Client Care Advisors, supported by a Clinical Director and Practice Director.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

  • 40 hours per week
  • 8 hour days Monday – Friday (one late shift per week 9.30 am – 6.30 pm)
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays working 8 am – 2 pm
  • No out of hours

General Responsibilities

You’ll work to a structured weekly rota covering anaesthesia, inpatient care, nurse consults, and pharmacy duties, with daily morning huddles to keep the day running smoothly. This is a fast‑paced, varied role supporting everything from routine procedures to emergencies.
