We are seeking a motivated, compassionate and professional Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our friendly and experienced team at Priory Vets. This is a full-time position, although we would be happy to consider part-time applications for the right candidate.
Priory Vets operates across three branches in Surrey: Reigate, Redhill and Tadworth. Reigate serves as our main hospital and provides our out-of-hours service. The successful candidate will be primarily based at our Reigate branch, with occasional shifts at Tadworth, located just 10 minutes away.
We are committed to providing a high standard of patient care and promoting excellent animal welfare. In this role, you will:
- Provide hands-on nursing care
- Support veterinary surgeons during procedures
- Undertake diagnostic and clinical support duties within your competence
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Provide guidance and support to reception colleagues regarding patient, client and appointment queries
- Participate in the out-of-hours rota as part of the wider clinical team
We are committed to promoting a healthy work-life balance, with 7-hour day shifts and a manageable out-of-hours and weekend rota of approximately 1 in 11.
Our clinical team includes four certificate-holding veterinary surgeons managing a wide range of advanced cases. We actively encourage continuing professional development (CPD), with funding and support provided. Many of our nurses are currently undertaking further clinical development courses, and we are proud to foster a culture of learning and professional growth.
As a recognised nurse training practice, we work in partnership with MYF Training in Aldershot, supporting the development of future veterinary professionals. The successful candidate will be RCVS-registered, committed to continuing professional development, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team. You will bring strong communication skills, sound professional judgement, and a clear commitment to patient welfare, client service and professional accountability.
