Priory Hospital Cheadle is looking for a UKCP registered Family Therapist to join our established therapy team on our CAMHS unit in Manchester.
Main duties of the job
As a Family Therapist, you will identify and deliver appropriate and relevant treatments and intervention within the given this field of therapy. You will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
You will also:
- Receive and responds promptly to referrals undertaking initial assessments to establish the scope, level and nature of the individual clients therapeutic needs.
- Lead and facilitate group and/or individual therapy sessions, ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the clients, and are consistent with the provisions detailed in the clients therapy plan.
- Manage, monitor and reviews an assigned caseload, ensuring delivery within the agreed timescales.

Qualifications
Essential
- Essential for the role Family Therapist
- You will hold a Masters-level qualification in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy (typically a 4-year qualifying course), with mandatory UKCP registration via an approved route (e.g., IFT/AFSP or the College of Family, Couple and Systemic Therapy). AFSP (formerly AFT) registration is also expected. You should have post-qualification experience in mental health settings, including inpatient and/or outpatient services.
