The location is not easily accessible via public transport, with limited direct routes and infrequent services in the surrounding area. As a result, commuting by car or other private transport is likely to be the most practical and reliable option for reaching the site.

Main duties of the job:

  • You will be working on the addiction and rehab ward.
  • We can treat a variety of addictions and mental health conditions, including alcohol and drug recovery services, and treatment for depression.
  • We can also offer private autism assessments for adults, as well as an autism psychological support pathway for adults who have been diagnosed with autism.

Job responsibilities:

  • Full-time of 37.5 hours a week on site.
  • Minimum 2 years post-registration experience within Mental Health. This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses.
  • You will be working on the addiction and rehab ward.
  • The role involves effectively managing the ward and its resources, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and a suitable skill mix are maintained through efficient rota management, annual leave planning, and training arrangements.
  • The post holder will have full oversight of the nursing staff rota and be responsible for ensuring e-rostering standards are maintained effectively.
  • They will ensure all nursing team members receive regular clinical supervision, appraisals, meet CPD requirements, and complete mandatory training, while proactively addressing any development or performance concerns.
  • The role also requires recognising and rewarding positive staff performance, acting as a highly visible role model and leader who promotes a culture of learning, professionalism, and continuous development.
  • In addition, the post holder will disseminate, implement, and monitor compliance with relevant hospital, divisional, and group policies and statutory requirements.
  • You will join the team on the addiction and rehab ward. In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
  • This position is a leadership role at Priory and during the interview process we will be assessing candidates against our leadership behaviours.
  • Experience in an addiction and rehab setting would be highly desirable for this role. Candidates with this experience will bring valuable insights into managing complex and dynamic clinical environments, along with the ability to respond effectively to patients' needs.
  • This experience supports strong clinical decision-making, resilience, and a proactive approach to delivering safe, high-quality care in fast-paced settings.
