Priory Hospital Burston House is looking to recruit a Senior Staff Nurse to join the team. This is a part-time 26.88 hours role. The candidate will be working to the following pattern: Each night shift will be from 19:30 to 07:45 with a 1.5 hour unpaid break: Week 1 Friday, Saturday and Sunday; Week 2 Friday and Saturday.
Main duties of the job:
- You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing.
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients/Service users that reflect their individual needs.
- Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patient's named nurse.
- Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary team.
- Build relationships and effectively communicate and engage with external professionals and stakeholders.

Requirements:
- The ideal candidate is a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse with 2+ years post-registration experience within Mental Health or Learning Disability services as a minimum, holding active NMC registration and having completed a preceptorship or equivalent programme.
- They will demonstrate ongoing commitment to continuing professional development and possess experience within Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing.
- The candidate should show a positive attitude towards change, quality improvement, and innovation in practice, alongside excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and be IT literate.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
