Priory Hospital Ticehurst is seeking a Sessional Therapist to join our team. This role is self‑employed and sessional, offering flexibility around the centre’s needs and your availability. You will deliver one‑to‑one therapy, supporting clients to achieve their treatment goals, either face‑to‑face in our modern clinical environment or online. Key Responsibilities:
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Hold professional registration with HCPC / UKCP / BABCP / BACP / NCPS / BPC / ACAT / ACP (as appropriate)
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ post‑qualification experience
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills
- Be confident working within clinical governance frameworks, including digital systems, concise clinical notes, and attendance at risk management meetings
Accreditation:
Accreditation with a relevant professional body is required. In certain circumstances, we may consider applicants who are working towards accreditation, provided this can be completed within 12 months of appointment.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
- Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertake initial assessments to establish the scope, level and nature of the individual client’s therapeutic needs.
- Lead and facilitate group and/or individual therapy sessions, ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the clients, and are consistent with the provisions detailed in the clients’ therapy plan.
- Manage, monitor and review an assigned caseload, ensuring delivery within the agreed time‑scales.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date clinical records, case file notes and computerised information, and other associated documentation; provide and present progress reports to case conference meetings on a regular basis.
- Liaise with professional and clinical colleagues as part of the MDT, and assist with the analysis and reporting of statistical data and information for research and audit purposes, including innovation.
- Contribute to the development of Priory healthcare policies, procedures, processes and initiatives; ensure clinical practice complies with statutory regulations and current legislation, meets quality standards and delivers against key performance indicators.
- Regularly review the services and pricing points and adjust in accordance to the demand for the service; ensure patients are receiving a service that is value for their money and objectives are being met to help the success of the unit.
