We are looking to recruit a Support Worker waking nights to join our team.

Shift Patterns: 12 hours shifts 36 hours per week 20.00pm – 08.00am
£12.60 per hour
Bishops Corner is a residential service, located in the coastal town of St Leonards-on-Sea near Hastings, East Sussex. We provide specialist support for nine males and females who have Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). Bishops Corner is situated on a quiet road, just fifteen minutes’ walk to the town centre and the sea front.

As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of our residents and tenants. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.

- Encouraging people to live as independently as possible, while supporting them in building their life skills and achieving goals at their own pace
- Supporting tenants in a person centred way, which can include assisting with personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living skills, including maintenance of their tenancy
- Complete daily administration of electronic and paper records with the involvement of the individual as appropriate
- Supporting the individual in maintaining their health and wellbeing, which may involve liaising with other specialists
- Supporting and encouraging the individual’s participation and integration in the local community through activities and interests that meet their ambitions and help them achieve outcomes in their chosen way
- Embedding the REACH standards in everyday practice
