The Old Rectory is a residential service, which is located in the village of Brede, in East Sussex. We support 15 males and females who are autistic or have a learning disability. The service is located in a semi‑rural location, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Our team are dedicated to promoting independence, equality, dignity and respect and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone. We provide high quality, bespoke, meaningful activities for our residents both on site and in the community, tailored to meet their individual’s needs.
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will provide the highest standard of person‑centred support and care, enabling the people who use our service to live with dignity, independence, and choice. Support workers are key workers, and provide direct support to our service users in support them to live their best lives. Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. You will play a vital part in helping individuals achieve their personal goals, supporting them in daily living, and empowering them to realise their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
- Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
- Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose.
- Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
- Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.
- Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress.
- Promote choice, independence, and involvement at all times.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions.
