Job Description
Riverbank is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join the team. This is a full position at 37.5 hours / 3 days per week. This role includes a mixture of day and night shifts. Shift times will be – Days – 8:00 am – 8:30 pm / Nights – 8:00 pm – 8:30 am – Weekend work included.
£12.90 per hour
Riverbank is located in Hull, in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The service offers residential support for 24 people with mental health needs.
We are located off a main road leading to the city centre and within walking distance of a beautiful park. Our team are dedicated to supporting residents to live independently in the community, increasing their quality of life. Riverbank offers a step-down service from hospital or locked rehabilitation units and also supports people who may require a step up from the community.

Once you are comfortable as a support worker at Riverbank, there will be opportunities to develop into a senior support worker.
It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However, whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. Â

As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day-to-day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothesÂ
- Assistance and support to attend medical appointmentsÂ
- Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staffÂ
- Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teamsÂ
- Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growthÂ
