What you'll be doing:
- Lead on the day‑to‑day operations of the children's home
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Home Regulations 2015
- Create a positive, child‑centred, trauma‑informed and therapeutic culture within the home
- Lead, develop, and support the staff team
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children
- Ensure high‑quality care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies are in place and effectively implemented
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
- Ensure positive outcomes for children across education, independence and wellbeing
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' outcomes
- Support an effective team through recruitment, staff development, and team retention
What you'll bring to the role:
- Previous experience within children's residential care at management or deputy level
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
