Mildmay Oaks offers varied clinical experience in a supportive, established service across Low Secure Units, Locked Rehabilitation, and Bespoke Therapeutic Placements, supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. The service is easily accessible by public transport via the Farnborough–Basingstoke line and nearby Winchfield Station.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care. You will also:
- Manage and deliver speech and language therapy care plans, including assessment, treatment, and progress tracking.
- Supervise junior staff and work within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe, policy‑compliant practice.
- Communicate with patients, families, and professionals throughout rehabilitation.
- Support service development by promoting therapy, implementing new techniques, and ensuring cost-effective care.
What you'll bring to the role
Essential
This role requires a relevant degree, HCPC registration, and a postgraduate qualification from RCSLT. The successful candidate will have relevant experience, including some in a specialist area, and skills in working with patients with dysphagia and carrying out assessments.
