Priory Hospital North London has an opportunity for a Speciality Doctor to join our team. This role is offered on a part-time basis, working 18.75 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Friday. The actual salary for this role is £37,500 per annum
Priory Hospital North London, Southgate, London is a specialist mental health and addiction treatment centre providing care for conditions including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and OCD, as well as private autism assessments for adults. It is accessible by public transport, with Southgate Underground station nearby and local bus routes serving the surrounding area.
What you'll be doing
Join Priory as a Speciality Doctor and play a key role in delivering high-quality psychiatric and physical healthcare to patients. Working alongside Consultant Psychiatrists and the wider multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and ongoing medical support, helping patients move towards recovery in a safe and supportive environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric and medical care to adult inpatients, working closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Complete assessments, medical clerking, risk assessments, physical health reviews and appropriate admission investigations.
- Prescribe, review and reconcile psychiatric and physical health medication in line with Priory policies and clinical standards.
- Contribute to ward rounds, MDT reviews, CPA meetings and ongoing risk management, providing clinical advice and support to colleagues.
- Liaise with GPs, acute hospitals, specialists and community teams to ensure patients receive appropriate and coordinated physical and mental healthcare.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential for the role
You will hold an MBBS qualification or equivalent recognised medical qualification, with full registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC). You must remain in good standing with the GMC and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the professional standards expected of medical practitioners working within psychiatric services.
