Priory Hospital Stockton Hall, just outside York, is well-known for producing positive clinical outcomes for highly complex patients. We provide a medium-secure care setting in which patients access a broad range of therapeutic interventions including one-to-one and group-based psychological treatments. Our service has produced excellent recovery results for patients, maximising their opportunity to progress to conditions of lower-security as safely and efficiently as possible. The hospital is split across nine wards, providing care for up to 112 male and female patients with a broad range of diagnoses including PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disability, mental illness, and personality disorder.
This role is offered on a Part Time basis working 19 hours per week, flexibility available. The salary range pro rata for this role is between £32,734 - £41,463. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.
What you will be doing:
- You will join the team at Priory Stockton Hall.
- Play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
- Provide expertise and leadership in Safeguarding.
- Focus on the rights of all service users and their families, including the ability to investigate, evaluate and learn from allegations to improve safety, dignity and compassion within the unit.
- Work as part of the Multi-disciplinary Team focusing on prevention, early intervention, building resilience and self-care, reducing and delaying dependency.
What you will bring to the role:
- Applicants must hold a Degree in Social Work and be currently registered with Social Work England, with completion of the ASYE or equivalent post-qualifying experience.
- Experience managing a caseload independently and undertaking assessments, risk management, safeguarding enquiries, and care planning, as well as working with multi-agency partners.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and policy is required, along with the ability to manage complex cases under appropriate supervision.
- Demonstrate strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills, alongside the ability to produce professional reports and maintain accurate records.
