Daffodil House is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join their team. This is a full time role.

Shifts: 8pm-8am
£13.10 per hour
Daffodil House (Formerly Church Village) is a new Adult Care service opening in early 2025. It is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and will be a modern, top of the line residential service dedicated to achieving positive outcomes and enabling our residents to live their best lives
What you\’ll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.
Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you\’ll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
You will have gained experience in a similar setting, supervising and leading others. While a formal qualification is not required, you should be willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Team leadership and management with Priory.
* Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings and support your peers with their performance and professional development
* Lead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadership
* Assist with the management of site petty cash and client funds
* Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
* Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
* Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
* Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
* Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
* Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
* Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth

* Previous experience in a similar setting
* Good numeracy skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature

* The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
* Competent in verbal and written English
* A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
