Description:
Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults. The focus of our service is to help people to live their best life in a safe and supportive environment. You will be working on the Eating Disorder ward set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care within an agreed framework by assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care in partnership with patients and their families while acting as the named nurse.
- Monitor patient progress, respond to changes in condition, and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to care.
- Prioritise and delegate duties effectively, including acting as nurse in charge when required, to maintain a safe environment.
- Build positive relationships with patients, relatives, colleagues, and visitors, responding professionally to enquiries, suggestions, and complaints.
- Support newly qualified staff as a preceptor, participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice, and maintain ongoing professional development in line with preceptorship and revalidation requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Medicines Management policies, Priory Group policies, and the NMC Code at all times.
You will join the team on the Eating Disorder Unit. In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post-registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme.
- Experience in Eating Disorder is essential for this role.
