The hospital has residential facilities for 56 patients as well as day care and outpatient services.

The hospital is a principle provider to the NHS in the North of England, focusing on positive holistic outcome through full service provision.

Job Advert Role Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Principal Psychologist to work as part of our established multi-disciplinary therapy team that provides psychological treatment and support toinpatients and outpatients. You will also be skilled and motivated in the facilitation of group therapy interventions.

You will join a thriving therapy service that is committed to evidence based practice, supervision and providing professional development opportunities. You will be an integral member of an established multi-disciplinary team to contribute to clinical meetings / care planning for patients.

You must beregistered with the HCPC

The post holders responsibilities will include:

  • Working within the standards set out by CQC, QNIC and other regulators
  • Providing excellent standards of evidence based practice
  • Regularly reviewing and monitoring outcomes of assessments and the effects of treatment in line with goal based outcomes
  • Active participation in service developments including: the use of resident feedback / in-house training
  • Contributing to the development of care pathways and other treatment protocols
  • To provide specialist supervision, training and consultation to colleagues through formulation groups / reflective practice
