Priory Hospital Preston is a 50-bedded mental health hospital, offering an extensive range of services, delivered across four wards. We can support adult males and females with acute mental health needs and eating disorders, and specialise in the management and treatment of these conditions. Part-Time | 30 hours per week | Site based
What you'll be doing
Your role is to provide high quality psychiatric and medical care to patients admitted to the adult psychiatric wards. You will work collaboratively with the Consultant Psychiatrists, multidisciplinary teams, Resident Medical Officers (RMOs), General Practitioners, pharmacists and external agencies to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and recovery-focused care. The post-holder will contribute to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of patients with acute mental health disorders and will support the delivery of comprehensive physical healthcare within the inpatient setting.
What you'll bring to the role
Essential
The post-holder must hold an MBBS qualification or an equivalent recognised medical qualification, maintain full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) together with a licence to practise, and remain in good standing with the GMC at all times. They are also required to comply with the professional standards and ethical expectations applicable to medical practitioners working within psychiatric services.
