Daffodil House is looking to recruit a Support Worker - Male Only to join their team. This is a full‑time role with a 42 hour week on a rolling rota:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Pay: ÂŁ12.60 per hour
Daffodil House (Formerly Church Village) is a new Adult Care service opening in early 2025. It is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and will be a modern, top‑of‑the‑line residential service dedicated to achieving positive outcomes and enabling our residents to live their best lives.
What you’ll be doing:
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. Your positive attitude and passion for providing high‑quality care and support will be your key strengths, along with a friendly, patient, and positive approach to work.
As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day‑to‑day activities while encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
- Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating, and personal care
- Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
- Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and movement of individuals
- Providing assistance and support to attend medical appointments
- Observing, monitoring, and recording physical and emotional well‑being, and quickly reporting any changes to senior staff
- Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
- Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
