Provide Occupational therapy for a mental health rehabilitation and recovery hospital. Set within a safe and therapeutic environment, the Priory Hospital Dewsbury is a 32 bedded locked service, supporting two different service user groups:
- Hartley Ward: a 16 bed ward focusing on the active rehabilitation and recovery of men with mental health issues. The emphasis is on stabilising mental health, reducing risks and enhancing independent living skills, with a view to reintegration into the community or supportive living.
- Jubilee Ward: a 16 bed ward that supports men with neuro-cognitive disorders namely, dementia, and behaviours that challenge. Many have a number of physical health needs.

The post holder will be qualified and registered with HCPC with preferred experience in dementia and mental health care. The successful candidate will be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills when liaising with members of the multi-disciplinary team, external agencies and organisations, patients and relatives. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate genuine commitment and enthusiasm for working with this client group.
