Priory Horizon House has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team. This role is offered on a Full Time basis working 37.5 hours per week. Salary £26,228 annually. Horizon House, Nottingham is a residential addiction treatment service. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes nearby and Nottingham city centre approximately 2 miles from the service. This is a new location opening as part of our existing service – offering bespoke treatment for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment. Set within a supportive community, Horizon House will provide a safe haven away from the stresses of daily life, forming part of our wider network of residential addiction treatment homes across the UK. This is a non-private service. All patients are referred through established local healthcare pathways.
What you'll be doing
- As an experienced therapist, support worker, therapy assistant, or administrator you will guide clients through daily group sessions, evening recovery-focused activities and psychoeducational workshops.
- Ensure that the people who use our service have any needs or requirements met; including participation in activities and support with daily living tasks.
- To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
- Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
- Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
- Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.
- To undertake keyworking responsibility for individual clients, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed.
