Horizon House is looking to recruit an Administrator to join the team. This is a Part-time role (18.75 hours per week) requiring consistent cover between Monday-Friday, though we are happy to discuss availability to work across 3-5 days. The position is an essential support to our new service location, part of Flourish, a therapy-led addictions treatment environment offering a different option to traditional hospital-based treatment.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, working together to ensure the smooth running of the facility and to support the wellbeing of patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. You will assist with day-to-day operations, keep things organised, and ensure spaces are well looked after, thereby creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
- Provides efficient and effective administrative and/or secretarial support to an individual or a department, including document and report production, telephone enquiries, diary management, meeting and greeting visitors and other administrative tasks as appropriate.
- Handles external and internal enquiries, recognising the level of importance of particular enquiries or issues and applying the appropriate prioritisation.
- Passes issues and enquiries on for appropriate action to ensure the highest level of service.
- Ensures that all information and documentation is correctly processed in line with policies and procedures in order that regulatory, statutory, compliance and financial requirements are met.
- Maintains the audit trail ensuring up-to-date and accurate information can be provided or accessed as required.
- Updates central and local database systems, ensuring accuracy of all data input.
- Ensures the effective operation of delegated administrative processes and procedures.
What you’ll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. The role holder should be educated to GCSE (Grades A-C) or equivalent standard, possess excellent keyboard skills, and have an intermediate level of proficiency for the standard range of office applications. Experience of one year’s work experience within an administrative, customer service, clinical, educational or other appropriate background is required.
