Priory Hospital Preston is looking to recruit a Night Co-ordinator to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week.
Based in Bartle, near Preston, Priory Hospital Preston is a 50‑bedded mental health hospital, offering an extensive range of services, delivered across four wards. We can support adult males and females with acute mental health needs and eating disorders, and specialise in the management and treatment of these conditions.
Priory’s acute services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home and we support the NHS to repatriate out‑of‑area patients back to local areas.
What you’ll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Night Coordinator you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- Works as Senior Nurse in a Ward or equivalent area ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families and visitors.
- Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicates requirements to the wider team.
- Ensures that risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment and that statutory requirements are met.
- Respects and applies the requirements of diversity and inclusion, promoting and role‑modeling these across the team.

What you’ll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will have active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, meeting revalidation requirements, and be a trained assessor or supervisor with essential clinical supervision experience. They will demonstrate continued professional development with a commitment to maintaining and developing their skills and leadership, along with good computer skills. The candidate will have at least 18 months to 2 years’ post‑registration experience and demonstrable expertise within a clinical speciality.
