Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, fixed-term for 9 months.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. Working on site 5 days out of 7.
This role is ideal for anyone interested in developing their knowledge and experience in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, and mental health rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be joining a highly supportive and experienced therapy team, including qualified Occupational Therapists (OTs), OTAs, Activity Coordinators, Assistant Psychologists, and Consultant Psychologists. There will also be significant opportunities to gain valuable experience working across the wider Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and contributing to patient recovery journeys.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting OTs in delivering individual and group therapeutic interventions that promote independent living, social inclusion, wellbeing, and recovery.
- Assisting patients to develop daily living, cognitive, social, financial, and coping skills.
- Monitoring, recording, and reporting patient progress and engagement with interventions.
- Contributing to risk assessments, care planning, and MDT discussions.

Candidates must have GCSEs or O-Levels (grades A–C), a relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
