What you\\\'ll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. • To support and advise staff, service users and relatives on the MHA 1983 and associated procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring the effective creation and maintenance of legal files for service users subject to the Act, safeguarding confidential information and statutory documentation.

What you\\\'ll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

Experience working within an administrative team in a healthcare or legal environment is advantageous, alongside strong administrative skills and a working knowledge of mental health services and mental health legislation. The ideal candidate will have a good standard of general education, including GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English, and will be competent in using Microsoft Office applications. They should be able to support and advise staff on the administrative requirements of the Mental Health Act (MHA), as well as understand, interpret, and apply relevant legislation and current case law related to the Act. The role also requires the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment, making a real and lasting difference for everyone we support.
